The Malpensata Refuge is located at 1,575 meters above sea level in the Brescia Prealps, among woods and mountain pastures that offer a suggestive and peaceful natural context. It can be reached via various paths, including those starting from Zone, Pisogne or Marone. The structure represents a point of reference for hikers who want to explore the surrounding mountains. The refuge is immersed in a panoramic setting of great beauty, with a view of the valleys below and the nearby peaks, such as Monte Guglielmo (1,957 m), known for its vast panoramas, and Monte Pizzocolo (1,581 m), a peak appreciated for the variety of paths that lead to the summit. The refuge's cuisine offers traditional Brescian dishes, simple but genuine, ideal for those seeking refreshment after a day of trekking. It is a strategic place both for an intermediate stop during an excursion and as the final destination of a shorter route.
