Homemade ice cream with many flavors

It's simply incredible how many great churches you can find in every town.

The church's facade is dominated by its 14th-century tower. Originally built on the remains of a Roman temple, the church is also the burial place of Giacomo Oldofredi, a nobleman of great importance to the town of Iseo. Inside the church, numerous frescoes can be seen, including the exquisite works of a pupil of Titian on the altar and above the entrance. A notable feature in the nave is a tombstone set into the floor, dating from 1765.

The fortified complex represents one of the best-preserved examples of Lower Medieval military architecture in the province of Brescia. The castle was traditionally called Oldofredi because of the presence in Iseo of this noble Ghibelline family, who were friendly to the Visconti and the Scaligeri and fierce opponents of the Republic of Venice.

Parish Church of St. Andrew Located in the ancient village of Iseo, the parish church of Sant'Andrea is one of the oldest churches in the Diocese of Brescia. Its origins date back to the 5th-6th centuries, as evidenced by the remains of the early Christian apse beneath the presbytery. The present building is the result of numerous interventions over the centuries: the Romanesque apse (12th century), the bell tower (13th century), the nave and side chapels (15th-16th centuries), and finally the Baroque façade (18th century). Inside are valuable works of art, including 15th-century frescoes attributed to Giovanni da Marone and the wooden polyptych by Moretto.

Monte Isola

This island in the middle of Lake Iseo is Europe's largest inland lake island. A detour is certainly worthwhile, but according to the notice at the shipping company's pier, crossing by bicycle is not permitted from March to September.
