The Stoffel Hut is a central hub for hikers and cyclists. For some, it's their day's destination, but for many, it's an important stopover and orientation point on their way to the Eisack or Sarntal valleys. From here, paths and hiking trails continue to the refuge and the Latzfonzer Kreuz church, which many visitors head for.

Around the 2,163-meter Speikegg peak, between Villandro and Sarentino, this dirt path is wide and, although quite steep, is easily passable even for those with little off-road experience. A gravel bike here is more than sufficient to tackle the well-maintained dirt road.

The Sarentino Refuge is located at an altitude of 1,614 meters and is an excellent stopping point. This typical Alpine hotel is nestled among meadows and woods above Sarentino. The iconic Stone Men are nearby and easily accessible from the refuge. The property offers typical South Tyrolean cuisine.
