The fairly direct route from the Zoblitz stop to the Rotstein. Short and sweet. But there's a lot to see up there, biologically, geologically, and geographically :-)

Insider tip: Saxony's oldest nature reserve, located in a small mountain range with three peaks. Many endemic plants live in the small jungle, which remains beautifully shady and humid even in summer. It's fun to bring a nature guide or plant identification book (even with older school-age children).
