The weir (for river regulation and power generation) and the lock at Sebbenhausen (for the shipping route that is four kilometers shorter) were put into operation 65 years ago after a construction period of three years (1953 to 1956). Absolutely great, authentic and totally nice staff. Gigantic cream puffs, if you drive past there and they are open, recommended. Unfortunately, there is no possibility for a disabled toilet.
