The St. Michaelis Church is the second largest church in the Nienburg parish. The beautiful church in its current form was built in 1864. But there are also remains of the earlier building: The baptismal font, for example, like parts of the church tower, dates from the Middle Ages. Parts of the former baptistery can also be seen in the entrance area. The baptismal font there is still used today for baptisms: drakenburg-heemsen.wir-e.de

The old church tower with its medieval baptismal chapel in the entrance still bears witness to the church that was originally built on the same site.
