The interior is particularly characterized by the three eleven-meter-high choir windows, whose color scheme creates a brilliant light in the nave. The people of Heiligenstadt became aware of the artist Graham Jones through his designs for the Cochem church windows. His use of figurative forms and vibrant colors was very well received. A good place to rest right next to the bike path in the shade under a linden tree. The square is called "Place of Encounter" because the border fence ran along this site during the division of Germany. A linden tree was planted here in remembrance on November 18, 1990.
