To be precise, the hydroelectric plant is called TACCANI (Treccani is the encyclopaedia) from the name of the designer. Alessandro Taccani (1876-1947) was a young graduate in industrial engineering from the Istituto Tecnico Superiore in Milan, when Cristoforo Benigno Crespi involved him to build his hydroelectric plant along the Adda. A great officer and knight of labour, the engineer Taccani was president of the consortium for the alienation of electrical materials left over from the war (1920-1924) and was commissioner for Italy at the Basel exhibition (1926).
