"It still remains to be added," writes Sigfried Grän OFM in 'Noah, the builder of the ark and inventor of viticulture', "what we left out above in the summary of the Noah story. Noah not only survives the flood and, after his rescue, offers a burnt offering to the Creator. He also incidentally becomes the inventor of viticulture. (...) In ancient Israel, the vine was considered the noblest of all plants. To own a vineyard, to enjoy its fruits and to be able to rest in the peace of its shade was ... the epitome of a happy and blessed existence." (Source: "In the Land of the Lord. In the Middle Ages, Fornovo was an important stop on the pilgrimage route to Monte Bardone, along the Via Francigena route, and its name is also linked to the famous battle fought in 1495 between the army of the Italian League and that of Charles VIII. Of interest to visitors are the 11th-century Romanesque parish church of Santa Maria Assunta, with its precious Antelami sculptures and the 13th-century marble slab; the 17th-century Villa Carona and the Vallezza oil well.

Vista sul Fiume Taro con dei colori bellissimi: The Taro is a river in Emilia-Romagna. It is a tributary of the Po and is 126 kilometers long. The river flows almost entirely in the province of Parma, west of the city of Parma. The Taro flows into the Po at Gramignazzo, a sub-municipality of Sissa, north of Parma. The river rises in the Ligurian Apennines, on Monte Penna, and flows through an area of great natural beauty. The river shows strong seasonal variations. In summer it can easily dry up, while in rainy periods it can reach a flow rate of 1,000 cubic meters per second.

The cycle/pedestrian path has been constructed on the upstream side of the bridge, 530 meters long, because that is where most people pass. The structure has arches that rest on the existing building, supported by beams anchored to the bridge. The bicycle/pedestrian path will also be separated from the car lane, to further guarantee the safety of passers-by on foot or by bicycle.

In 1982, an exceptional flooding of the Taro, due to heavy rainfall in the upper Val Taro, during the night of November 8 to 9, caused the partial collapse of the road bridge connecting Fornovo to the town of Ramiola (municipality of Medesano). The image of the truck stuck on the half-destroyed bridge, with its front wheels in a vacuum, is famous. That same night, the railway bridge over the Taro, in Pontetaro, was also partially destroyed by the flood.
