The monolith that gives its name to the site is a sandstone formation, shaped into the shape of a bridge by the millenary erosive action of natural agents: due to its suggestive and imposing figure, a legend attributes its modeling to the devil.

The Ponte d'Ercole, also known as the Devil's Bridge, is a fascinating monolithic bridge located in the middle of a chestnut wood. It is a monolith of over 30 meters which over the years has been sculpted entirely by nature, thus creating an authentic bridge.

The castle of Pompeano (fraction of Serramazzoni) is a building perched on a stone of volcanic origin. A steep stairway climb leads to the portal with a pointed arch. From a window of the portal you can admire the Church of San Geminiano al Sasso with the bell tower, the square-based watchtower and the feudal palace. The wall is present only on the side of the entrance, while the remaining sides are protected by overhanging walls. Visits by reservation.
