Reachable via roads and various paths from multiple directions, this pre-medieval attraction, still active, stands in the hills between Forlì, Predappio and Meldola and offers a suggestive panoramic view of its surroundings. From the hamlet of Fiumana it can be reached in about 40 minutes on foot with a difference in altitude of about 280m

The strategic position of the castle, from which the valleys of the Rabbi and Bidente rivers can be seen at a glance, and whose military vocation can be seen in its most ancient structure, has handed it over the centuries to a succession of troubled events, in which important families try their hand.... In the hills, rebuilt in neo-medieval style, it was the summer residence of Benito Mussolini. Restored it is the seat of one of the 10 Technopolis of Emilia-Romagna. It hosts an annual re-enactment palio.
