2月 10, 2026, Doktor Bolo Bench and Plaque
Doctor Forest Information Panel and Bench, along the Oschatz Circular Trail. Info: Experiencing the Forest: Positive Effects of the Forest on Human Health. "Doctor Forest" When I suffer from headaches and neuroses, feel misunderstood or old, and the fair muses fail to caress me, then I consult Doctor Forest. He is my ophthalmologist and psychiatrist, my orthopedist and my internist. He reliably helps me overcome any hangover, whether it's from sorrow or cognac. He doesn't think much of powders and pills, but all the more of fresh air and sunshine. Even if his practice is often overcrowded, you can walk yourself healthy under his care. And those with circulatory problems who are still wheezing today, will be without clinical findings tomorrow. He always gets us back on our feet, prevents weight gain and gallstones. Unfortunately, he doesn't make house calls. —Forester Helmut Dagenbach, 1986.

The Oschatz City and Scales Museum is located in the historic buildings of the former council and administrative prison, which directly adjoin the partially well-preserved old town wall. In this lovingly restored complex, city history can be experienced firsthand. The scales exhibition, unique in Central Germany, comprises more than 100 examples, vividly illustrating the development of scale construction from its beginnings to the most modern electronic weighing devices. Of course, every visitor can also determine their own "weight" here. The Zwinger Garden is a pleasant place to linger. A climb to the top of the accessible city watchtower, dating from 1377, is a truly special experience. https://www.leipzig.travel/poi/stadt-und-waagenmuseum-oschatz

At the idyllic Rose Lake, the "longest bench" invites visitors to linger. The multi-purpose hall "The O" houses a large collection of coffee pots. A notarized count in November 2009 certified 18,179 pieces, but also marked the end of the large-scale collection drive. https://www.leipzig.travel/poi/o-schatz-park

1月 23, 2026, Klosterkirche Oschatz
The monastery church is the only remaining building of the Franciscan monastery founded in 1228. With its tall, slender pillars, it is a testament to medieval architecture and definitely worth a visit. After the Reformation, it was only rarely used for religious purposes and served various functions until 1924, including as a monastery hospital, hay barn, and riding hall for the Uhlan regiment. https://www.leipzig.travel/recherchetext/oschatz-der-schatz-in-sachsen
