Osterland Castle near Oschatz: A ruined castle complex. Information: A ruined complex dating back to the second decade of the 13th century. The structure exhibits early Gothic features in this region and is a listed historical monument.

This park was created as a follow-up to the 4th Saxon State Garden Show in 2006 and today delights visitors of all ages with a wide range of attractions. The monastery church is the only remaining building of the Franciscan monastery founded in 1228. With its tall, slender pillars, it is a testament to medieval architecture and definitely worth a visit. Four heads are mounted on the fountain basin, facing the four cardinal directions, but also representing allegories of the four times of day, the four seasons, and the four ages of man. They correspond to the heraldic panels above. There are a total of eight gilded heraldic panels on the base, whose reliefs, zodiac signs, sayings, and biblical quotations evoke a variety of associations.
