Der große Teichは、ここにせき止められた人工湖です。水位はエルベ川の水位よりも高いです。岸辺にたどり着ける場所はほとんどありません。ここには古い運河にかかる橋があります。私たちのところでは、この運河は干上がっていました。

城はエルベ川沿いの堂々たる建造物です。旧市街との調和がとても美しいです。素晴らしい古い路地や広場があります。ぜひ一度ここを覗いてみるべきです。ハイライトは、堂々としていて装飾豊かな「ヴェンデルシュタイン」という名のらせん階段です。

第二次世界大戦の歴史を意識するのに良い場所です。

弁天池は多くの水鳥にとって、格好の繁殖地であり、静かな生息地となっています。釣りは禁止されています。

The Memorial to the Meeting of the Allied Forces, designed by Soviet soldier and architect Abraham Miletsky and completed in September 1945, attracts thousands of visitors from many countries every year. It commemorates the meeting of the Allied forces on the Elbe River on April 25, 1945, when the end of World War II in Europe was imminent. Part of the commemoration ceremony takes place here on Elbe Day, where veterans, eyewitnesses, relatives of the deceased, ambassadors, and guests gather to remember the many victims and the peace that has prevailed ever since. Shortly after the turn of the millennium, the time had come. A new market fountain with bronze figures was created and erected between the town hall and the Mohrenapotheke, one of Saxony's oldest pharmacies. Following a competition in 1999, the design "Fools and Musicians" by Glauchau artist Erika Harbort was selected. The larger-than-life figure of Claus Narr, the court jester of Torgau, forms the centerpiece of the fountain.
