The "Heart of the Mostviertel Circular Trail" is a 110-kilometer long long-distance hiking trail that leads through the seven municipalities of the "Heart of the Mostviertel" small region in eight stages. The trail winds through orchards and past square farms, offering a variety of opportunities to enjoy the landscape and regional specialties. Additional Information: A free hiking map and a freely available GPX track are available for orientation. The consistent hiking trail signage with the "heart pears" helps with orientation. The trail is a project of the "Heart of the Mostviertel" micro-region and was realized with the support of the Lower Austrian Landscape Fund.

The castle houses a local history museum and Ernst Urschitz's historical weapons collection with over 400 exhibits in the castle tower. The 23 m high tower also serves as a viewing tower with a panoramic view of the Mostviertel.

With its Gothic chapel, columned hall and defense tower, Ulmerfeld Castle is a jewel of medieval architecture. In summer, concerts and theater performances take place in the romantic arcaded courtyard. The west wing shows the cultural side of the palace. Exhibitions and a historical weapon collection of the armourer Ernst Urschitz are shown there.

The castle, which dates back to the 12th century, is just a short detour from the Ybbstal cycle path. From the tower, which serves as a lookout point, you have an excellent panoramic view of the Mostviertel. The Ulmerfeld Castle is a jewel of medieval architecture. In the summer months, concerts and theatrical performances take place in the arcade courtyard of the castle.
