St. Nicholas Church in Görlitz. Information: The church was built in the late Middle Ages as a hall church constructed of plastered rubble and sandstone. The church's predecessors were repeatedly destroyed by fire and war; the oldest foundations date back to around 1100. The last significant renovation of the interior took place in 1925-26.

Church of Our Lady in Görlitz. Information: A three-aisled hall church in the Late Gothic style. As early as the mid-14th century, a church—the Church of Our Lady—stood outside the city walls on the path to the Frauentor (Women's Gate). Until 1870, the church appears only rarely in the city's history. It was only with the expansion of the city towards the train station that the church gained in importance. Between 1869 and 1871, it was renovated and subsequently enjoyed a larger influx of worshippers every Sunday.

Shell Minna Fountain/Toberenz Fountain in Görlitz. Information: The fountain consists of a massive marble base surrounded by four figures. A 3.44-meter-tall bronze female figure sits atop this base, holding a water-giving shell above her head. She is considered the embodiment of nature, which the four marble figures draw upon, and represents the Roman goddess of nature, Flora.

The Finstertor was part of the city fortifications of the Görlitz suburbs. It was also called the Poor Sinners' Gate because condemned prisoners were led through it to the place of execution outside the city.
