A wonderful hiking trail that is very well signposted.

Taubenheim/Spree Church Information: It dates back to a time before Taubenheim was first documented in 1345. Rebuilt after a fire in 1662, the church tower clock is the oldest surviving clock of its kind in eastern Saxony, with a clockwork mechanism dating from 1691.

The house itself is also worth seeing with its half-timbered style.

Very tasty, always worth a visit

Because Oppach has set different priorities regarding landscape and trail design, the cycle path breaks off along the former railway line at the Buschmühle in Beiersdorf, on the border with Oppach. We recommend keeping left toward the Jägerhaus. Still in the forest, at the clearing, turn right toward Oppach Jägerhaus, or left toward Beiersdorf Tannenhof (visible after 200 meters on the left behind the meadows), or right again toward Neusalza-Spremberg. There you'll meet the Spree Cycle Path.
