A short, family-friendly circular trail, perfect for a relaxing break during your hike. Along the apple trail, informative panels provide a wealth of information about old apple varieties and regional fruit cultivation. It's especially beautiful in spring when the trees are in bloom and in late summer when they're laden with fruit. Ideal for kids – many of the stations can be explored through play. Benches and quiet corners invite you to linger.

Rochsburg Castle, probably founded in the late 12th century, stands on a rocky outcrop above the village of Rochsburg, a district of Lunzenau in Saxony, surrounded on three sides by the Zwickauer Mulde River. It is located in the Mulden-Chemnitztal landscape conservation area and is completely enclosed by the Mittleres Zwickauer Muldental (Middle Zwickauer Mulden Valley) protected area, the Täler in Mittelsachsen (Talles in Central Saxony) bird sanctuary, and the Um die Rochsburg nature reserve. The "Great Pot of Penig" is a legend connected to the medieval pottery tradition of the town of Penig. The giant pot was formed by the Penig potters under the guidance of master Hans Weider. Admired as a wonder of the world, numerous strangers from all over the world made pilgrimages to it every year.
