Thematic site of the Chemin des Blés "Wheat, a solar cereal" In the middle of fields, in a region where grain cultivation is a tradition, this terrace with a breathtaking view is topped with a rye thatched roof. From field to construction, the construction of this roof was a year-long adventure. About a hundred volunteers participated in the construction of the 1,000 straw bales that make up the roof. A very pretty, medieval town where we warmed ourselves up with coffee and nut pastries at the Hauser bakery on a foggy October day.

Estavayer-le-Lac is a true jewel on Lake Neuchâtel. The charming medieval town offers a unique mix of history and nature. Narrow streets, beautiful half-timbered houses and the imposing Chenaux Castle give Estavayer-le-Lac its special character.

Simply a great bike tour, but only if the visibility is very good. Aarberg is a wonderful place to linger.
