"The Fleischackerloch is a valley of rocky ruins where nature has preserved its originality. The large and, in some cases, meter-high sandstone cliffs in the Fleischackerloch date back to the Bunter Sandstone period and are approximately 200 million years old." Here, there is a "primeval forest-like old-growth tree population. The natural monument received its name from the leasing of the fields and meadows in the valley in exchange for meat." This fountain was built in 1981 by Peter Roman Heid and features, among other things, a beautifully designed sandstone boulder with a hunter motif. The fountain's name comes from St. Hubertus, the patron saint of hunters. Source: www.naturfreunde-lambrecht.de/aktionen/heimatkunde/

"During the difficult times of World War II, the Catholics of Landstuhl sought refuge in the Mother of God. This gave rise to a vow to build a chapel if Landstuhl remained largely spared from war damage. - In gratitude and to fulfill this vow, this Chapel of Our Lady was built. Currently (as of July 2025), there is NO water flowing here (even when you turn on the tap). There is a small rest area next to it, which is usually nicely shaded in the summer.

Nice hut for a rest.

A great trail. Although a little inconvenient for hikers who are not good at climbing over obstacles such as large ones. But a fantastic destination.
