Since 2012, a roughly twelve-kilometer-long beach promenade has stretched from the Polish town of Świnoujście (Swinemünde) through Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf to Bansin. Almost half of this promenade along the Imperial Spa beaches on the Baltic Sea lies within the area of the seaside resort of Heringsdorf. Along the promenade, which also includes a cycle path, visitors can discover many examples of resort architecture, browse and shop in stores, and stop for refreshments in restaurants and cafés.

Beautiful cliffs with a great view

We reach the promenade again and briefly consider ending our hike. But we decide to continue and brave the weather. Following the promenade, we admire the charming buildings once more and encounter a few cyclists. We reach Heringsdorf. The two towns blend seamlessly into one another. Now, some of the properties are quite large, and my lens gets wet while taking photos, creating images just like the view through my wet glasses. Somehow magical and mystical. "Heringsdorf beach section" – just another of countless beach highlights. Sand, water, beach… yes, the world really needs another red dot for that. Apparently, it's not how unique a highlight is that counts, but how you can become a pioneer with lots of likes.

The path between the promenade and the beach on the island of Usedom – the name says it all. Without "on the island of Usedom," no one would know that the promenade and the beach are actually right next to each other. It's a perfectly ordinary path that anyone can find on a map anyway. But apparently, what matters isn't how mundane a highlight is, but how you can become a pioneer by getting lots of likes.

Perfect for beautiful beach walks, now at the end of November/beginning of December. The beach is great for walking because it's not as loose as in summer. Just wear something windproof. We love it!
