Brandbachの水の流れは、Gaishölleと呼ばれる狭い峡谷をここで流れ落ちています。何世紀にもわたり、水の大きな落差によって、谷底にある巨大な岩や漂石が洗い流されてきました。こうして、多くの滝がある、野生的でロマンチックな森の峡谷が生まれました。 以前は、谷を普通に歩くことはできませんでした。峡谷を通り抜けたい場合は、「geißen」しなければなりませんでした。つまり、ヤギ（Geiß）のように這って移動しなければなりませんでした。「Hölle」は、多くの岩や石がある、狭くて荒れた地域を指す古くからの名前です。 1880年に、野生的でロマンチックなGaishölleに初めてハイキングコースが整備されました。この道の維持管理が、1882年に特別な「美化協会」、現在の「Heimat- und Verkehrsvereines Sasbachwalden」の設立につながりました。 いくつかの興味深いデータ： 道の長さ：約800m 段差：225個 橋：13個 高低差：154m アクセス Murbergstraße：標高338m

The Brandbach stream plunges down a narrow gorge here, known as the Gaishölle (Goat's Hell). Over the centuries, the steep gradient of the water has eroded the enormous boulders and glacial erratics lying on the valley floor, creating a wild and romantic wooded gorge with numerous waterfalls. In earlier times, it was impossible to walk through the valley normally. To traverse the gorge, one had to "geißen," meaning to move along by climbing like a goat. "Hölle" (Hell) is an old-fashioned name for a narrow, wild area with many rocks and stones. In 1880, a hiking trail was first established through the wild and romantic Gaishölle. The maintenance and upkeep of this trail led to the founding of a special beautification society in 1882, the present-day "Heimat- und Verkehrsverein Sasbachwalden" (Sasbachwalden Local History and Tourism Association). Very slippery terrain, poles strongly recommended.

The path to the waterfalls is very beautiful and varied. You repeatedly cross the waterfall on small wooden bridges.

The raised bog is a stunning natural spectacle with its own unique flora and fauna. A must-see is the hike up here from Lake Mummelsee and the wooden walkways. But you need time; you have to take it all in.

Until my visit to Hornisgrinde, I didn't know there was a raised bog up here. Very interesting, a must-see.
