Old transformer station with wall openings

Upcycling with a difference: An old transformer house has been given a new use. In collaboration with the State Association for the Protection of Birds and the Altenstein Local History Society, a new home for birds and insects has been created.

Three lakes or ponds are located on the outskirts of Hafenpreppach. It's nice to see that one of them is developing into a biotope.

Many nesting boxes were installed at the old transformer house. A very nice idea.
