A very beautiful church at the crossroads to Ronco/Ascona. Note: This is a very challenging climb for a 2-wheel road bike, especially before Intragna. The road bike route via Losone Tegna is easier :-)

The detour is worthwhile because from the suspension bridge you get another good view of the destination of the hike.

Circular Hike: Arcegno - Cortone - Alpe Zot - Arcegno Cortone lies at 1,592 meters above sea level and encompasses a handful of charming rustici (rustic farmhouses). The official hiking trail leads above the rustici (rustic farmhouses). The old path below the rustici is also very pleasant.

Super exciting and versatile, and all in the cool forest shade

The clear, rippling water of the stream meanders leisurely through the dense forest. Moss-covered stones and roots line the banks, while tree branches form a natural canopy above the stream. A play of light and shadow dances across the surface of the water, which flows in small cascades over rocks and boulders.

This is an excursion that can be done even during the winter months because it is exposed to the sun during the central hours of the day.
