A beautiful route through the Gambarogno Mountains and down to the cantonal road for public transport. A route for experienced hikers. Spectacular views of Lake Maggiore. You depart by postal bus from Vira to Indemini and descend to the Monti di Piazzogna. The descent to the lake from the Monti di Sant'Abbondio is a bit steep.

On the Monti di Motti there is a modern, super charging station for all common models and it's even free!

The Cugnasco-Monti di Motti road was built as a military road during the First World War. After a 12 km climb on a narrow but well-maintained road, you reach Monti di Motti, a magnificent cluster of houses on a small lake with breathtaking views of the Verzasca Valley, the Magadino Plain, Monte Tamaro and Lake Maggiore. The grotto and the lake make this mountain an ideal destination for families who want to spend a day surrounded by nature.
