I can only agree with the previous speakers: a very beautiful church and place of pilgrimage with an interesting history.

Great ruin very close to the road, can only be seen from the road in winter. There is a fence around the tower as the building is dilapidated.

A site worth seeing, which is currently home to 47 adults and 29 children... and has four cars of its own.

Every second Saturday you can take a guided tour with tasting in the cheese factory.

The tower ruins of St. George and St. Elisabeth, also known as the Georgsturm, are located on the Kellerberg northeast of Blumenthal Castle in the Aichach-Friedberg district, Bavaria. They are the structural remains of a former Renaissance chapel from the 17th century. History: In 1596, the Teutonic Order Commander Johann von Hördt founded an anniversary at this location, on which the chapel of St. George and St. Elisabeth was later built. From that year on, Holy Mass was apparently celebrated every Friday. The upper floors of the tower, which are still visible today, may date back to an extension from the 17th century. Directions: The ruins are located at the foot of the wooded Kellerberg northeast of Blumenthal Castle. The St2338 state road between the Aichach districts of Klingen and Sielenbach and the Ecknach separate this initial elevation from the castle's entrance avenue. Opposite the avenue, slightly to the left, there is a dirt road leading into a wooded area. This path leads past an old brick building on the left, the former brewery building of the Storchenbräu. If you follow the old field path a few steps straight ahead, the tower ruins of the former chapel of St. George and St. Elisabeth appear on the right, located on a slight incline. As the structure is in danger of collapsing, it is not recommended to enter. Current use: The ruins serve as a historical landmark and are part of the region's cultural heritage. It is a popular destination for hikers and history buffs who want to learn more about the history of the place. However, due to the dilapidated state, it is not recommended to enter.

The Church of St. Stefan in Friedberg, Bavaria, is an important baroque building with a long history. A church was originally built on this site at the end of the 8th century. After a new building was constructed in 1697, the church took on its current baroque appearance. Particularly noteworthy are the impressive stucco work, which is attributed to the stucco artist Johann Schmutzer from the Wessobrunner school.

The Paardurchbruch near Ottmaring is a remarkable natural phenomenon in the Wittelsbacher Land, near Friedberg in Bavaria. Here the river Paar breaks through the Lechleite in a narrow gate, a geological peculiarity, and then meanders in natural meanders through an original backwater area, which is lined by a natural silver willow forest. The path initially leads along the railway line, then turns into the town of Rederzhausen, where you first encounter the Paar, and continues to Ottmaring to the Paardurchbruch. Along the way there are stations of a Nordic walking course, a fitness trail and an educational bee stand. The starting point of the hike is Friedberg train station, which makes it easy to get there by public transport. The entire tour takes about 2.5 hours and is also suitable for families with children. At the Paardurchbruch itself, the natural surroundings invite you to take a break and offer a perfect natural playground for children. The Paardurchbruch near Ottmaring is therefore a worthwhile excursion destination for anyone who wants to experience the beauty of nature in the Wittelsbacher Land.
