It is considered one of the most magnificent half-timbered houses in Idstein, particularly because of its richly decorated wood carvings, the striking oriel window, and the curved gable. The inscription on the facade reads (paraphrased): "Under God's protection, Johann Conrad Killing and Anna Margareta Loeberin built this house in 1615."
