イトシュタイン周辺のアトラクション＆必見スポット - トップ20

ブルク・ファルケンシュタイン（歴史的にはノイ・ファルケンシュタインとも呼ばれる）の城跡は、タウヌス地方のケーニヒシュタイン地区ファルケンシュタインにある、標高約450メートルの場所に位置しています。この地域を象徴する際立った、遠くからも見えるランドマークとされており、波乱に満ちた歴史を持っています。 この要塞は、14世紀半ばにボーランデン・ファルケンシュタイン領主によって、古いニュリングス城の基礎壁のすぐ隣に建設され、1364年に初めて文書に記録されました。ナッソー伯爵家やクロンベルク伯爵家など、様々な貴族家系が短期間で入れ替わった後、この施設は1500年頃に包括的な近代化の段階を迎えました。この時期に、近代的な防御施設、2つの大砲塔、そして今日まで残る高さ18メートルの特徴的な「バター樽」様式の主塔が建設されました。 三十年戦争の後、この防御施設は次第にその戦略的重要性を失いました。1780年頃から最終的に放棄され、建物の部分が石切り場として利用されたため、徐々に廃墟へと姿を変えていきました。歴史的な城壁の意図的な解体は、1842年になってようやく阻止されました。1945年以降、保護された地域は自治体（現在はケーニヒシュタイン市）の所有となり、以来、地元の郷土史協会の多大な財政的支援を受けて、継続的に維持・修復されています。現在、本丸の丘は人気の観光地となっており、開館月（3月から10月）には、ライン・マイン平野とタウヌス地方の印象的なパノラマビューを訪問者に提供しています。

From Falkenstein Castle you have an impressive view of Frankfurt. On a clear day, the view extends to the skyline and far into the surrounding area. A worthwhile stop on the hike.

The summit cross at 881 m on the Grosser Feldberg in the Taunus is a striking landmark and a popular destination for hikers. It stands on the highest point of the mountain and offers a fantastic view of the surrounding landscape. Of course, you can also sign the summit book directly.

The meeting point is on the summit plateau. A little away from the road, you can enjoy the wide view over the Hintertaunus from here. When the visibility is good, you can see as far as the Westerwald and the Vogelsberg.

The entrance fee of 2 euros is definitely worth it, as you can enjoy a great view from here. Unfortunately the tower is currently closed.
