📍 Agate Trail Freisen Right on the edge of the quarry stands a simple bench – overlooking what was once an active mining site. Today, silence reigns here. Nice run in great nature

Two circular routes go past the local recreation area Dörrbergweiher, both start in Waldmohr; the Bergmannsbauerweg (10.5 km) and the circular route loading ramp (6.4 km). Here at the Dörrbergweiher you can still find the remains of the old anti-tank barrier of the West Wall. In the forest on the right you can see the entrance to the filled mine tunnel, further to the left in a clearing you can see the dam slide. There and at the loading point one finds waste rock with various fossil imprints from the Carboniferous period.
