The Belchen is not the highest mountain, but it is one of the most beautiful mountains in the Black Forest, because it offers visitors a fantastic panoramic view of the Rhine Valley, the Vosges and, in good weather, even as far as the Alps. As one of the most popular excursion destinations in the southern Black Forest, the Belchen is well frequented all year round.

The Belchen summit is 1414m high and the fourth highest mountain in the Black Forest! Not only because of the 360° magnificent view, it is described as the most beautiful peak in the Black Forest. The approx. 15-minute walk from the Belchenhaus is definitely worth it!

Those who come from above on foot do not have to pay an entrance fee. Other visitors who came from below by car and parked had to pay EUR 2 - but thought that was an entrance fee, not a parking fee. Better to ask the tourist information beforehand, they know their way around.
