In the municipality of Fröhnd, a superlative solar farm went online at the end of 2024. On an exceptional hillside location with an average incline of 32°—the steepest in Germany—Dr. Metje Green Energy Projects installed 7,200 solar modules with a total output of 4.2 megawatts (MWp). The plant reliably supplies around 1,500 households of the Schönau Electricity Works (EWS) with green electricity.
