There were once seven supporting stones on one long side and six on the other. Two of the former three capstones are still there. The pagan offering table has the largest and heaviest surviving capstone of all large stone graves in Oldenburg: with a size of around 5 m × 3 m, the relatively flat capstone is said to weigh around 40 tons. It was originally significantly larger (7.0 m × 3.0 m × 1.2 m), because at least two pieces were demolished in the early 19th century and used as building material. The burial chamber is approximately 10.0 m × 2.5 m in size and there is no evidence of a surround. The entrance, of which no stones have been preserved, was probably in the western part of the south side.

The Alhorn fish ponds are wonderful for hiking...super nice there.

There are many paths to explore along the fish ponds. There are also some rest stops and small beaches. The area and the forest are very nice and quiet.
