Such a natural body of water is rare these days. A gem!

The stone grave is a little off the path. Here you can take a breather and learn something about the history.

If you would like to include the megalithic tomb in Eichholz in a Nordpfad hike: A specially marked, 100 m long access path leads there. The burial chamber is in a rather poor state of preservation, but is still worth seeing.

A forest with mostly paved paths. Nature is left to its own devices. Undergrowth grows where there's enough light. Fallen trees are left to be decomposed over time by insects, beetles, etc. A forest just the way I like it.

I particularly liked the Bevertal: Narrow forest path on the Bever, natural course of the river, seating, simple wooden bridge over the Bever. A place to stay!

Really a beautiful hiking trail to plan in your tour.

The diverse landscape is impressive due to its variety: Since the geest and moorland intertwine in this area, fertile and wooded geest areas have formed on one side and vast moorland landscapes with green areas, drainage ditches and canals on the other.
