Such a natural body of water is rare these days. A gem!

The stone grave is a little off the path. Here you can take a breather and learn something about the history.

One of two observation towers overlooking the Huvenhoopsmoor, which can only be seen from these two towers. The tower has rows of benches at the top. They're there for a reason, as Huvenhoopsmoor is one of the most famous resting places for cranes. Even during the day or outside of migration, you can take a wonderful break here and enjoy the atmosphere of the intact moor.

If you would like to include the megalithic tomb in Eichholz in a Nordpfad hike: A specially marked, 100 m long access path leads there. The burial chamber is in a rather poor state of preservation, but is still worth seeing.

A forest with mostly paved paths. Nature is left to its own devices. Undergrowth grows where there's enough light. Fallen trees are left to be decomposed over time by insects, beetles, etc. A forest just the way I like it.

There is a parking lot approx. 200m in front of the crane observation tower. Several signs provide information about the location and a lot of what you should know about cranes. The view from the 3-story tower is gigantic. Time: early in the morning or late in the evening Camera: 400 mm telephoto are necessary (I didn't have it, will be made up for).
