The lake can be easily circumnavigated on foot or by bike

Bremervörde Harbor is located at the end of the Oste federal waterway at kilometer 0.2 LU. (The signage currently still shows the old value of kilometer 8.65.) From the Elbe near Neuhaus, the Oste River flows for approximately 68 kilometers through green marshland, with numerous curves. A pleasant cruise takes in numerous towns and boat docks. At high tide, Bremervörde Harbor can be reached in approximately 6 hours. Excellent restaurants and a variety of shopping opportunities are located near the well-equipped harbor and in the city center. Entry to Bremervörde Harbor is only possible at high tide (up to 1.70 m draft). The harbor does not dry out; only at the entrance does the water depth reach approximately 0.60 m at low tide.

Here at the Oste Hamme Canal it is very idyllic and there is a well-developed road along both sides of the canal.

New weather station, currently even with a collector's stone. Three benches with a table are available, but the mountain is quite a sight for northern Germany. :-)

Whether in spring, summer, autumn or at Christmas time, there are many shelter and seating options on site. And with luck, you can watch a pair of storks breeding (March-August)

St. Paul's Church in Gnarrenburg, also known as Findorff Church, was built between 1784 and 1790. The plan for the construction of the church was drawn up by Jürgen Christian Findorff, a royal moor commissioner who was responsible for the colonization of the Teufelsmoor region. The church is an elongated octagonal central building made of brick and was originally consecrated without a tower. The tower, which was added in 1866, stands on the long side of the nave. The interior of the church is transversely oriented, with galleries on three sides. A pulpit altar in early classicist forms and an organ by Georg Wilhelm Wilhelmy from 1795 are notable features. The church originally held up to 1,200 people, which was sufficient at the time for the moor colonists and the population of the surrounding villages.
