Beautiful rock formation with stream. Reminiscent of the rocks of Buchstein, Arzloch, Aftergraben or Teufelsgraben near Bayreuth and Eckersdorf.

This special natural monument was created thousands of years ago. The Steinach River ate deeper and deeper through an extremely hard volcanic rock, which is called “quartz keratophyre”. The Steinachklamm geotope with its steep slopes and the narrow section of the gorge south of Wildenstein is definitely worth seeing.
