Fine remote summit that feels a long way from anywhere.

A high mountain with reasonable length walk-ins. Good scrambling route on it's north side that gives fine views of the 'Balck Ladders' cliff face.

Carnedd Llewelyn is high and relatively remote, so walks there are quite a serious undertaking.

It is a fine summit and the connecting ridge is good fun too!

Carnedd Llewelyn, also spelled Carnedd Llywelyn, is a mountain massif in the Carneddau range in Snowdonia, north-west Wales. It is the highest point of the Carneddau and the second highest peak by relative height in Wales, 49th in the British Isles and lies on the border between Gwynedd and Conwy.

Great little cafe at the summit complex, always good for a coffee and a flapjack !!

Really good hike up to the trig point from the Pier at the bottom of the Great Orme. About 6-7 miles for a really good round trip of the Orme.

Wales' fourth highest summit has plenty of mountaineering interest at the head of Cwm Pen-llafar. At the head of the valley, a fine grade I winter ridge, the Llech Ddu Spur, rises towards the summit. To the east of this are the cliffs of the Ysgolion Duon, the Black Ladders, home to more challenging winter ascents.

Luckily we let Komoot plan our tour. Between the streets and paths, the paths in the countryside are barely visible. So we had a nice hike through the moor, through the herds of sheep and we also met the wild Cashmere goats. We wanted to have a picnic on a stone in the countryside, but were immediately approached by seagulls. Packed up immediately. Further ahead there was a rest area with tables where we could eat undisturbed. The descent on the west side was not entirely without problems. Steep and very dry, it's easy to slip. At best, it's better to walk on the grass.

Carnedd Dafydd at 3,425 feet (1,044 m) is the second-highest peak in the Carneddau range and one of the Welsh 3000s. It's a vast rocky summit with great views. Once you reach the summit area it's quite runnable but the climb up from Ogwen or anywhere else is steep and tough.

A limestone headland jutting out into the Irish Sea above Llandudno. The Great Orme has been quarried for copper and limestone over the last few hundred years. It's also used for farming but is mostly grazing land. Geologically the limestone pavement towards the sea end is important and rare habitat. The whole headland is crossed with many paths as well as a trail running around the edge. It's a great loop for runners and you can stay fairly flat or take in the 207m summit as many times as you feel like.

Took the tram to the top, nice food in the cafe but can get busy. Walked down with great views of the water and hills

Foel-fras is probably most notable as the final (or first) summit of the Welsh 3000s – the challenge of conquering all 15 of the region's peaks above 3,000 feet (914 m). The quiet summit gives extensive views out towards the coast and the Conwy Estuary.
