Hikes to Foel Fras take you to a high outpost at the heart of this verdant ocean, a glorious viewpoint for Conwy Bay and a world away from the jagged crags of Snowdon and the Glyderau.

The Foel Fras is the fifteenth of the Welsh 3000s. The summit is the most northern mountain of the Carneddau Ridge and is famous for the dotterel. The tiny bird stops on the summit plateau on their migration in spring and autumn.
