Amazing views from this Trig point. We were lucky to have visited when the weather was calm and clear.

Lots of viewing platforms along the clifftop public footpath, but early morning in December is definitely not the best time to view the birds, I didn't see many species or individual birds at all. Maybe I scared them off :). Summer probably much better when they are nesting.

Narrow track runs down to this little bay, very quiet in winter and not as busy as North Landing. There is a metal staircase at the bottom of the track that drops you onto the beach, where the rocks are initially quite large. In Dec 24 the steps were still open, but part of the track right next to them was taped of by the council as part of the footpath has collapsed due to erosion. Still perfectly safe and accessible, just need to exercise caution.

Danes Dyke Nature Preserve is a 148 acre, dramatic and lush nature reserve on the Flamborough Head Heritage Coast.

RSPB Bempton Cliffs is a nature reserve managed for the seabirds. The visitor centre is open to the public with lots of information as well as a shop, cafe and toilets. Look out for Gannett, Guillemot and Puffin as well as Barn Owls.

Due to where this is placed you can not walk to it without getting wet. Even during low tide water will come to chest. Would recommend paddleboarding to it as you can see the area and then go to the caves next to it.

Apart from all the amazing bird life here I also saw dolphins swimming just off the coast! I didn't expect that today!

Danes Dyke is a stunning stretch of coastline which runs 2.4 miles (4 km) from Bempton Cliffs to Cat Nab. The area is a designated Local Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest thanks to its seabird colonies and unusual geology. It is also a designated Heritage Coast thanks to its rich history and landscape. There is a cafe in the car park of the nature reserve, open 10am to 6pm during the summer. Area of outstanding beauty. Good view points along cliffs for bird spotting.

One of the most beautiful sections of Yorkshire coastline. Very popular with bird watchers and photographers. Thornwick bay has a nice cafe. Coffee and cake where spot on.

Lovely and quiet cove, features chalk cliffs, plenty of rock pools for the kids to go in search of various sea creatures, and for the adults its steeped in history of smugglers and that caves for hiding in, and a sea arch created by years of erosion. A small cove but plenty of sights and activities, just be careful of the tides and of the slippy rocks.

Very rewarding excursion: on 5 different platforms you can see impressive gannets colonies and puffins - a spectacle for the eyes and ears!

One of the best spots I have found to watch the sunset or sunrise. There's nobody else about after mid afternoon time, ensure you have torches etc before you head put as once the sun drops it is pitch black, and being near the cliff tops, you need to be prepared. The view is worth the preparation.
