Founded in 1039, the monastery of San Bartolomeo di Serle, originally called San Pietro in Monte, is located in a panoramic position on Mount Orsino (993 m above sea level). Radically renovated in the mid-15th century, it can be reached with a beautiful walk in the woods. Excavations have brought to light important structures and finds from the early Middle Ages.

Where the signs cross, you have to make a sharp bend, and with a sharp eye you can notice the path. Do not take the path that always goes down to the left, which would be the most visible, because it takes you out of the woods.
