This historic garden park is dedicated to Loris Fortuna. It is a place of rest and relaxation. After a period of unsatisfactory maintenance, the garden is finally well-kept and welcoming again, especially on nice days, and above all because of its majestic trees, its proximity to the historic center and its relaxing atmosphere.

Very beautiful aesthetically in the midst of nature

It is a fine surviving example of the once widespread peat bogs in the hilly area of Friuli and destroyed during the agricultural reclamation carried out in the last one century. The importance and good conservation of the habitats are confirmed by the presence of botanical species included in the Red List for Italy of entities at risk of extinction. If the fauna to mammals and birds, due to the limited areas involved, covers relative interest, the amphibian and reptile fauna is instead well represented.

The church of San Pietro dates back to the sixteenth century and underwent changes in the eighteenth century. The building is simple but articulated: a rectangular hall with a smaller rectangular presbytery and a semi-hexagonal apse. The entrance portal is protected by a portico with three open arched sides. On the top of the façade a small sail with a bell mullioned window. Under the portico you can see a fresco with faded colors which probably represents San Cristoforo, as it happens to see also in other churches. The interior is not visible. (Local guide Google)
