Torbiera Selvote湿地は59.8ヘクタールを占め、その周囲はSIC IT3320028 Palude Selvoteの周囲と大部分一致しています。この地域はCastions di Stradaの自治体内にのみ位置しています。この地域には、フリウリの湧水システムを特徴づける多数の生息地が存在します。典型的な水生植物を持つ水路、Schoenus nigricansが優占するクラディエティと群落を持つ広大な中央湿地、Molinia caeruleaが優占する泥炭土壌上の湿った草原、そして最近形成された黒オニシバリの森があります。この湿地は、動物の保全と避難場所としても非常に重要です。無脊椎動物の中では、現在非常に珍しい淡水ザリガニの存在が重要です。両生類は、固有種のラタスティガエルを含むさまざまな種類のカエルと、サンショウウオの両方によってよく代表されています。これらの湿った環境には、氷河期の遺存種である生きたトカゲと淡水亀も生息しています。これらの自然地域は、クサリヘビやその他のヘビの生息地でもあります。鳥類の避難場所としての役割は、全体として強い人間圧を受けている地域内に位置しているため、注目に値します。

A very beautiful, naturally preserved biotope with numerous trails along and through the forest. The ground along the forest is gravel, and a standard forest path is easy to cycle through (be careful after rainfall, as springs often overflow the trails).

At the river threshold, a bridge crosses, from which the threshold can be seen to the north. The interplay of the waterfall and sunlight offers impressive views.

Naturalistic area relevant for the fauna and microorganisms present in the reserve. The historic mill has been very well restored and here you can stop and take a lunch break in the area equipped with table and benches
