徒歩でもMTBでも走れる美しいパノラマ尾根

The Barboj Park owes its name to the rumbling sounds that accompany the emission of methane gases, salt water, hydrocarbons, methane, carbon dioxide, and mud from the subsurface through numerous small volcanoes of varying shapes and sizes, some up to 1 m high. These geological features, considered the most important in western Emilia, also extend to the nearby town of Torre di Traversetolo, to which the area is connected by several marked trails. The salse are characterized by the eruption of muddy salt water from spring pools, used for medicinal purposes until the 19th century, which flows into the small Barboj stream, a tributary of the Termina stream. The Grotta di Maria Amalia, a country bath commissioned by the Duchess of Bourbon at the end of the 18th century. Conceived as a country bath, it consisted of a set of basins and tanks fed by underground water and a spherical cave covered in tuff and sponge stone. The bath was restored by the Park in 1993 and made accessible to the public with interventions to arrange the paths.

The Maiatico gullies are a splendid landscape in which to cycle off-road. The carriageways here are wide and easily pedaled.

Monte Fuso reaches an altitude of 1115 m above sea level. Just before the top there is a large plateau: it is the area used as a flying field for paragliding enthusiasts.
