Famous castle of Manzonian memory, belonging to the historical and real knight of fortune Innominato. The fortress is overlooking the town below and overall the castle is well preserved. The descent that you see in the photos is quite dangerous on a mountain bike, it is better to lead by hand, but you can also go down from the north side on a road that is much less steep.

Nice trail that leads from Ponte dell'Olio to Oggiono Castle, pay attention to the section with the steps, they can be climbed, but use caution because they are quite slippery

The Innominato castle is a 13th century fortification in Vercurago and overlooks Lecco. He inspired Alessandro Manzoni in "The Betrothed". The structure, located on the Tremasasso, has undergone multiple changes of ownership and destruction, and now houses a sculpture of Saint Girolamo Emiliani.

Among the houses stands the tall and square Torre del Barbarossa, a powerful building of the Mandelli family, where, in 1158, the emperor found hospitality. At the time the whole territory was in great ferment of arms, due to the ten years' war between Como and Milan unleashed for the appointment of the Bishop of Como and for the control of the countryside of Lecco.

Tower dating back to the twelfth century and is one of the few that have survived to the present day. It was used to control the Strada Ducale della Riviera, the current Path of the Wayfarer. It is also known as "Torre del Barbarossa", because the Germanic Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa found refuge here during the military campaign against Milan at the beginning of the twelfth century.
