The Rock Glen Conservation Area near Arkona is a day-use nature area set within the scenic Ausable River valley. The park features a network of trails, boardwalks, and stairways that lead through Carolinian forest and into a dramatic gorge carved by the river. You can explore several natural attractions within the park, including waterfalls, fossil-rich rock layers, and riverside viewpoints. Facilities include parking, washrooms, picnic areas, and the Arkona Lions Museum and Information Centre. A small admission fee is required to enter the conservation area.

The Eastern Ravines & Beaches Discovery Walk links wooded ravines, neighbourhood streets, lakeshore boardwalks, and waterfront parks in the east end. Typically starting at Glen Stewart Ravine, the walk runs down toward Lake Ontario and continues along the Beaches boardwalk through Woodbine Beach and Ashbridge’s Bay Park. The path covers approximately 7 to 9 kilometres and takes about 2.5 to 3 hours to complete. This section follows the wooded Glen Stewart Ravine and its spring-fed creek down toward the Beaches, connecting natural forest footpaths with the more expansive Eastern Ravines & Beaches route.

A beautiful network of hiking trails in a forest in the heart of the Niagara Gorge. The park entrance is easily accessible by WEGO bus. The entire hike is beautiful and unlike any I've done before. A unique landscape. The trail can be a bit challenging, so be sure to bring water and sturdy shoes. A fantastic hike.

The Terrace Path takes you through the seemingly untouched Carolinian Forest, past geological formations and exciting flora and fauna.

The West Rocks Management Area is a former limestone quarry that provided the building materials for many historic homes in Owen Sound. Today, a hardwood forest with many species of ferns covers the area above the 'Niagara Cliff'. You can explore the area on numerous hiking trails. A section of the 'Bruce Trail - Sydenham Section' leads through the 'West Rocks'.

The waterfall 'Inglis Falls' is located on the 'Niagara Cliff' of the long escarpment in Canada and the USA that runs east-west from New York through Ontario, Michigan, Wisconsin and to Illinois and after the 'Niagara Falls' is named. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niagara_Escarpment

'The Grotto' is a large cave in the limestone coast along 'Georgian Bay'. The Grotto and Indian Head Cove are two of Ontario's most popular tourist attractions. The unique rock formation and the crystal clear water of the 'Georgian Bay' make a visit to the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve 'Niagara Escarpment' a special experience. https://www.brucepeninsula.org/the-grotto

Parks Canada advertises the trip to the suspension bridge over Chigamiwinigum Falls as 6-8 hours round trip. If you make it this far, you can get a sticker from the Discovery Centre or Park Kiosk. Go a little further to the portage beside the river. Hook falls is at least 2km beyond, not the 1km shown on the park map. We only ventured 1km beyond the bridge to yet another falls which is not accessible from the trail.
