A very quaint place to stop for refreshments, and the pea stew was delicious! 😋 The view of the Brocken mountain is fantastic.

A nice restaurant and also a stamp point for the Harz hiking badge.

😎The story of the forest inn.. The cliffs were in a "Sleeping Beauty" sleep when the first spa doctor, Dr.med. Carl Franke, persuaded his former landlord, the carpenter Wilhelm Schilling (1836-1907), to run a small bar at the Rabenklippe in addition to his small restaurant in Bündheim (today: "Brauhaus"). On May 24, 1874, the enterprising Bündheimer opened an open-air stall made of birch trunks, which was initially only open on Sundays. Mrs. Johanne Schilling carried the drinks up to the top in a basket. On March 25, 1958, on her 80th birthday, Mrs. Else Schilling handed the business over to her son-in-law, Otto Bokemüller. He came from a long-established Harzburg family and liked to move into the solitude of the forest.

You should definitely take a short break here. On good days with a clear view of Blocksberg.

Very nice operators, a great place for a dignified lunch break. I took a bottle of the sharp lynx with me, it's also noted on the menu 👍😁

Highly recommended for a quick snack. From there, you have a wonderful view of the Brocken. The lynx enclosure is right next door.
