Nice small town

The entrance was still closed in May 2024, although the interior of the tower, to be honest, did not make a particularly trustworthy impression.

The town church of St. Marien was built in the 14th century as a Gothic hall church. The three naves are spanned by a richly structured vault, which is similar to St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague. The St. Mary's Church reminds us that the city of Herzberg committed itself to the Reformation early on. I was particularly impressed that almost all of the places have a name.

The tour of the tower is at a height of 36.30 meters, the lantern base at 49 meters, the sphere ultimately at 59.40 meters, and the golden heart is at 64.27 meters above the viewer.
