The Galloway cattle is a domestic cattle suitable for year-round outdoor farming. The small to medium-sized robust breed comes from the eponymous district of Galloway in the southwest of Scotland. A key feature of the Galloway is its double-layered coat with long, wavy top coat and fine, dense undercoat. This, along with its comparatively thick skin and adapted, economical metabolism, make the Galloway particularly resilient.
