The snack bar at Hollmarksee is open from April to October. During the off-season, it's open daily from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and all day on Sundays. During the swimming season, it's open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Sankelmarker Lake is a natural body of water from the last ice age, which is now fed by two streams and various springs on the banks and bottom. This constant supply of fresh water has ensured the excellent water quality of the relatively deep, clear lake in recent years. Ideal conditions for fishing at Sankelmarker Lake. Due to the extreme nutrient input from the surrounding agriculture, however, there is an increasingly explosive proliferation of phytoplankton in the summer months, which pollutes the water. It is then also not possible to swim at Sankelmarker Lake. The banks are largely covered with trees and very difficult to reach. There are jetties, but almost all of them belong to private property. A small tour takes you around Lake Sankelmark. Hiking tour "Water experience": The hiker is guided over 4.2 km for around 90 minutes, always directly on the water. Enjoy the special atmosphere of the lake and listen to the sound of the small waves. Seabirds can be observed with the observation telescope. The academy center is also worth a visit.

The "Holler" is simply wonderful at any time of day or year. It is open from April to September, but it is always open all year round so you can come to the lake. Sanitary facilities and showers are not available during the winter months.

Schmidt's Meadow, overlooking the lowlands of the Großsolter Moor, is an idyllic spot for a break. The lake is artificially dammed. A granite stele commemorates its builder.

Really nice bathing lake

the new catering at the "imbiss am hollmarksee" makes it even more worthwhile to take a break there. the food offered is prepared with fresh ingredients and on sundays and public holidays there are delicious, home-baked cakes and tarts, and you have a great view of the "holler" while eating. Prices absolutely ok, hospitality super nice and courteous. sanitary facilities and environment clean. enough bicycle parking spaces available. Can just be recommended.
