For nature lovers, Arenholzer Lake offers opportunities for bird watching. According to eBird, 35 species of birds have been documented in the region. Hikers can walk around the lake on an easy, approximately 5.3 km long route.

Lake Arenholz (Schleswig-Flensburg district) is a popular destination for anglers, especially for pike fishing. Certain fishing conditions apply, such as a limit of a maximum of three fishing rods per participant and fishing only from the shore.

There are many small dog bathing areas and a larger bathing area with a bench. .

The north bank with the mouth of the Bockseebach has a perfect sun orientation towards the Arenholzer Lake. The idyllic path leads slightly elevated along the lake shore.

Catch a unique view of the wide Treene valley and enjoy the peace and nature in this beautiful environment! The Treene habitat impresses with an impressive variety of animal and plant species. The Treene valley stretches over a length of around 50 kilometers and offers a varied landscape of forests, meadows and lakes. The area is home to numerous animal species, including rare bird species such as the black stork and the kingfisher. Otters, beavers and deer are also at home here. The diversity of the flora that unfolds in the various habitats is particularly impressive.

There is plenty of parking across the street.

Really idyllic 🤩 But be careful, don't drive past. After about 150 m you reach the most beautiful spot on a footpath.
